I had an interaction with a community member (no Sonos logo) and a Sonos moderator that made me think of this Reddit thread.

Obviously Praytell wouldn’t be doing their job if they weren’t posting here (and I’m not saying the few posts praising the update are them). But there are some posts that make me wonder.
“How Praytell is influencing this subreddit
Praytell is a company who specialises in brand advertisement and public relations. Their job is to manage all public relations and e-reputation for a client and influence on social networks for the client benefit.
They call it STRATEGIC STORYTELLING.
They have been hired by Sonos by the end of 2022 to manage all of their communication.
Since the new app debacle, 4 monthes ago, they are behind Sonos awfull communication like the famous "It takes courage..." The CEO wrote.
They are heavilly influencing on social media too. This is their basic job and it's their job to do it posing as genuine satisfied Sonos users.
Here on this subreddit, they are very active as Reddit became very important. They have people posting here under several fake accounts from various IP adresses.
How do they influence ?
- heavilly downvoting critical posts to make them invisible
- making ridiculously positive posts "My Sonos system is amazing, I love it, my wife love it, our beutifull childrens love it, our dog love it, our cat and even our goldfish love it"
- drawning critics under a flow of useless posts like fake users asking for what rear or what sub choose : what genuine user could ask that now when the full place is burning ?
- useless polls with options carrefuly chosen to discredit critics
There are accounts who defends the products from every critic, everytime ... They seems to exist solely for this purpose
Language elements :
- it's your Wi-fi network (the easiest excuse)
- functions removed : it wasn't really used anyway example : last FM ? Is it still a thing ?
- use AirPlay (which doesn't exist on Android).
- I have zero problem (like if any real user who have no issue would systematically answer this to people who are asking for solutions to their issues)
- They are actually fixing things (like if any serious company would need more than 4 monthes to fix this shit)
- Calling any press article about this mess a "Terrible article" by a terrible and incompetent journalist
There are many many more or less subtle ways to influence on social network. Sonos, with the help of Praytell is just another company who prefers this to actually spend time and money to properly fix their products issues.”
