I have 18 speakers in my house…A play One will not connect to my system anymore…Lost a hour with customer support trying to get it to work… for my trouble they offered me a 30% discount on a new speaker. My question is why would I spend hundreds of dollars on a speaker that you would only warranty for a year? And you can’t fix…Obviously there is a flaw in the connection part of the speaker. Because they do not offer this speaker anymore…

I answered my own question. I would not buy another Sonos product again. If you can’t stand by your product, I will not…

The Play:1 became old tech a few years ago. It was replaced by the Sonos One in October 2017. It’s not surprising it’s no longer available…

Your profile says you also have Play:5 gen1 and Play:5 gen2. Your “logic” is therefore highly inconsistent. Back then, you were happy to buy a gen2 even though they didn’t offer the gen1. Technology moves on, as @Rhonny has pointed out. You complain Sonos only offer a one year warranty: how many companies offer a discount of any size on 5-years-out-of-warranty products? Sorry, but I cannot sympathise with you. Electronics do fail, sooner or later.
