I don't know why sonos won't release an upfiring speaker Everybody buys it for the home theater experience but you're not getting the true Atmos  Experience without the rear upfireing speakers  and some 1sl upfireing speakers for on the right and left of the arc  I think sonos is falling behind other  Companies in soundbar and sound technology  Don't get me wrong I love my sonos  System but if it doesn't change People are gonna go elsewhere

Though a nice touch, I do not think Sonos is in the business of producing such dedicated speakers. Most Sonos speakers up til now are multifunctional - to be used stand alone, in stereo set ups or in surround system.

Exactly what makes upfiring speakers in the front not a “true Atmos Experience” and yet upfiring speakers in the back is a “true Atmos Experience”?

Yes it is still I think the best wireless speakers you can buy I  Used to have all Martin Logan speakers But The amount of wires is ridiculous I had a 11.2 system Which I miss very much but I do not miss the wires Plus I  Downgraded to a smaller home I heard that sonos is going to make rear  Multi directional five's witch I wish I could demo but a separate upfiring rear would be better I think for the people who spent a lot of money on the five's
