Separating system

What equipment do I need to buy to be able to separate my Sonos into two systems? My new Sonos arc is not compatible with my original play 5 and my bridge. I understand I can still use this speaker, but only by itself. Do I need something connected to my router to support the arc, plus other newer speakers I am using?

No. Just power off the existing S1 system (possibly not even necessary to do that, but do it anyway).

Then power up the Arc, download the Sonos S2 mobile app and select to set up new system. Follow the prompts, choosing to set up on your Wi-Fi. .

Power original system back on when you are done.
