Can I add another Sonos product to my app and profile that is in a different country and house? Or do I need a new profile for the 2nd country? 

It doesn't work like that.

Just set up your system in the second country. I THINK you can use the same account and email address in the two countries, but if it doesn't then just set up a different one.

The system is stored on the speakers  So the app will just find whatever is on the network in each location. You don't add speakers to the app. You use the app to add speakers to the local system. 


Thanks John, problem is current app will not open as not at home in uk so app says “Sonos and your mobile app must be on the same network “! Clearly if not in uk I cannot be on same network with a new Sonos product


Just reset the app in App Preferences.  Then if this is the first Sonos product in the second home, select "set up new system"

I assume you are in the second home at the moment?

You can use your sole Sonos account on multiple systems (“households” in sonos-speak) and multiple countries. Once setup you sometimes have to “forget system” in the app the first time you change locations, so it reconnects to the “new” system. You do NOT need to reset anything to switch.

There is a more complicated scenario when you can physically split devices on the same “household” between locations, but its complicated and only crazy people like me would want to do that.


Controlav - the problem is household 2 is in a different country and on different wifi, therefore my orginal account will not show on the app it is shaded out as I am not present in that room.

In the app do a “reset this app’ (or Uninstall it), then “Connect to an existing system”.

Your account has nothing to do with your wifi.


I have found it incredibly difficult to use Sonos products both in the US and the UK. Every time we move between the 2, I seem to have to reinstall the whole system again. I have tried to have 1 system connected to my US iPhone, the other connected to my UK iPhone. Still does not work.

I find it easy to move between my US and Mexico systems, I just “reset this app” then “connect to existing system” each time after relocating. No need to factory reset anything or reinstalling apps.
