few months back I bought a beam and a sub mini after using the sub mini a few times it completely stopped working so I set up a return and a part arrival of the new speaker come to find out it was refurbished and not working correctly after reaching out to Sonos on why I received a refurbished speaker first, they said it was out of warranty which was incorrect. Then they tried telling me that I bought a refurbished one from Best Buy. They came up with a serial number that was wrong and claiming the Best Buy sold me a refurbished one then they told me to go to Best Buy to return it, but since I don’t have the original speaker, they won’t accept it and they claim that the speaker I bought is not refurbished because they don’t refurbish Sonos products . The tech that I was on the phone with a Sonos. Asked to see my receipt which I was on camera phone with him and showed him the price of $450 with a sale price that day of $425 plus tax and he still insisted that they sold me a refurbished one at Best Buy and Best Buy has a 14 day return policy and if it’s not the original product they can exchange it now I’m stuck with a $450 footstool and I read some comments online the Sonos has a habit of replacing you speakers with refurbished ones to me. This is not a good way to do business and when asked to talk to a manager, you get the same runaround. Sonos, it will be good if you stand behind your products. Now I have no choice but to go through attorney general to try to have this problem, resolved and looked into.

Hi @Joexxxx

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay!

Thank you for reporting this, and I am sorry to hear of the issues you’ve had with your Sub Mini and with the replacement issues - and with the interaction with our customer support team. I have found your related case and have initiated the process of having your case audited for correct procedures and tone of interaction.

If you hear more, it will likely be through an email from our support team, rather than here.

I hope this helps.
