Why in the F*** would you remove the sleep timer and alarm functions on the latest app ? Are you frigging morons, yes that's a serious question. My app updated itself and now those 2 functions that I used ALL THE TIME are gone. Who is the idiot that made that decision, are you trying loose business or just had a lobotomy.

Timers and alarms weren’t removed per se, rather the app has been rewritten and it was released before these functions been coded back into the new app..

Alarms were reinstated in an update earlier in the week.  Other updates are coming and the app should have parity in terms of functions with the older app in the next few weeks.

To access these changes, check for updates in the iOS / Android app store to download the latest version of the Sonos app. Make sure your Sonos products are also up to date.

  • Adding and editing alarms
  • VoiceOver on iOS now properly interacts with individual elements of the Sonos app's home screen.

My app still doesn't have the timer or alarm function back. Why in the hell would you release an INCOMPLETE update. Thats a moronic blunder not a product update. Release an UPDATE when the UPDATE is complete, So my question still stands, who’s the idiot that makes that decision, fire their stupid ass.

If you’ve looked over these forums over the past week there are literally thousands and thousands of messages like yours and Sonos have gone to ground, and answers are not forthcoming.  Put simply, you are not going to get an answer to your question.  If you want help, however, ask and other users here will do their best to assist you.


I don’t expect an answer, it seems there are not many quality corporations these days with any sense of properly running it. They need to be aware we’re not happy with their idiotic app and their business practices. FYI there is an email link on the sonos contact page to email the ceo, I encourage all to use this and send a message.
