Question

Maximum queue length

At least with the latest app update the queue can be edited again. However, I now get an error “cannot add to queue” - this happens after adding two (!) albums to the queue, from a music library. There are 24 items in the queue, and I can’t add more. After a few tracks are played, then it seems to allow another album to be added, but only one.

Can someone from Sonos comment - is this a “feature” of the new app, or is it yet another bug? Either way, it needs to be fixed, yet more incompetence in a basic feature.

I’m not from Sonos so this isn’t official but I had a couple hundred tracks in my queue. So the 24 track limit you are experiencing is probably a bug or network issue.

The current phone/pad controllers have some issues dealing with SONOS Playlists and the Queue. I have an odd sort of library share of 60,000 tracks. The metadata for these tracks is very short. Using the PC desktop controller I can load these tracks into the Queue, plus some regular tracks.

Proof of concept: This Queue has 64000 tracks.
