Just finished the 14.20.1 update and all is good . Shows in my system 14.20.1. However, banner comes up at top saying another update is needed.. would this be the app?

If you have auto-updates disabled, a System can ‘sometimes’ require an update for the software and another for the device firmware. If a product rejects, or does not not get, the firmware first time around, then you may need to run the update again.


Rinse/Repeat until all device updates are complete. 
 

If you want to double-check things, then manually run ‘check for updates’ in the App settings and if all is complete, you will see a screen saying:

 

No update required

Your Sonos system is up to date.

 


@Ken_Griffiths thanks for the response. I ran it again ( lasted a long 4 seconds) . Turns out the Move was not at 14.20.1. All good now 👍🏻


Yes, my device firmware is at v14.20.1 too, but my App is showing software version 14.20 build 70435282. So the App and firmware are separate entities and may show different versions, but that can be the case for the firmware installed on different Sonos products too.. so not everything may get updated each time there is an update.
 

Anyhow, I hope that info. assists too @Dogdad. 👍

14.20.1 is only for the speakers..phone firmware is 14.20


 Thanks for the clarification on 14.20.1. All of my SONOS hardware has been updated.
