I have multiple Sonos speakers that I have owned for at least 6-8 years (multiple Play 1’s, a Play 3, a  Beam). Originally the app was so simple to use, which is what an app should be for playing content over your speakers. Over the last year, the software updates have turned this simple and easy to use system into a complete disaster. The new software is really confusing and difficult to use. It’s like the tail is now wagging the dog (e.g. the tail is the software and the dog is/are the speakers).

It like the folks running Sonos seem to think they are a software company and NOT a speaker company. This isn’t Tesla.

I’m currently putting up with the frustration the software is causing, because I’ m so invested in the Sonos ecosystem.

Something has to change!

I agree, all too often these days I either don't bother to use my Sonos or just keep listening to whatever was last selected rather than to wait for, or fight with the app.

I'm sitting here now looking at my Sonos, don't want to listen to what I had playing but also don't want the frustration of trying to find a favorite (mostly Amazon stations) that is still working.

I probably will play something once the spouse's TV starts to aggravate me more than the app.
