There were (presumably still are) various requests on this forum for a quick route from the “Now Playing” screen to the EQ settings.  Sonos listened, and provided a neat solution.  It‘s a shame to have gone backwards on this, and so I hope this can be restored soon.

I came to say this as well. It was one of the best few fires of the first S2 app just before the needed app released it seems it would be an easy thing to put back in the app. Manually moving through the settings to adjust each speaker’s EQ is super annoying for us all.
