Good afternoon,
When I want to adjust the volume of the different rooms, I notice that there is hardly any room at the beginning of the volume slider to listen to music "quietly", I am always at a maximum of 4 but more often around 2 so all the way to the left. The question is whether this can be set differently?

I seem to remember that in the old app the trick to get the app to make the steps between volume settings bigger (and so easier to tune)  was to set a maximum volume. The lower the maximum volume the bigger the steps. Not sure if this also works on the new app.

Be aware this does not change the minimum volume Sonos needs to work, that stille seems too loud for some.

It sounds like you want to set the Volume Limit in System Settings > Room.

I understand the setting more like “relative volume” and not a pure maximum.

I have set mine to 40% exactly for the same reason. Now when I adjust the volume slider to e.g. 4, it is quiet enough for night time. If the setting is at 100% then the sound would be way too loud when volume is at 4.

Volume Limit

Limit the maximum volume for each of your Sonos products. The limit can be set on a volume scale from 0—100.

Thanks, will try.
