Since 15.6 iOS app release, this is not possible ti use the hardware volume buttons to control the volume of the music.
Just a post to tell that I’m very disappointed about this situation.
Since July, the 25th, how is it possible not to have a solution to this issue ?
It’s a pain in the ass to change the volume with the slider. I'm almost at the point of not using my Sonos anymore… Hurry up ! Find a solution !
Are you referring to the volume control buttons on your iPhone? Apple made changes (or will soon make, not sure) to iOS to disable this functionality. Apple does not want these buttons to be used for anything but controlling the volume on the phone itself, or devices attached via bluetooth or airplay. There are other threads that go over this topic in detail.

It won’t be back I guess. The app probably doesn’t get certified by Apple for their store if Sonos doesn’t comply.
