Just want to play some music using my SirusXM account on Sonos.  This was working last week, but today, no matter which channel I pick, I get the “Something went wrong.”  All my channels work fine directly from my SiriusXM app, so this is Sonos’ issue, not mine or SiriusXM’s.

No, I will not reauth my account, as so many others have done.  Why should I have to reauth my account when this happens, WHEN NOTHING HAS CHANGED AND THIS WAS WORKING FINE LAST WEEK?  Good lord I’m angry, this is such utter incompentence.  This is the only function I have left that worked with some consistency after the May update, and now it’s just as unreliable.

When I have to spend more time trying to fix your **** app then playing music, something is seriously wrong.  I have barely used my controller/systems since the horrible May update that showed us how seriously Sonos takes quality, and today just confirms my decision to sell off most of my units (I have two left).  And I STILL cannot add my iTunes library, no word on if/when that will be fixed…but by the time it is, I’ll be long gone.  I just want an app that opens and works, apparently that’s too much for Sonos to handle.

Could not agree more. So sad. I’m so invested in Sonos hardware that it’s going to be hard to say goodbye but I’m at the point I just need to rip the bandaid off. No improvements, no info, just crickets from management after a weak explanation of how bad Sonos got to be and how they value their customers. Nonsense. Utter BS. I foresee a R.I.P. for Sonos soon.

A few weeks ago the Sirius XM skill for Sonos within the Alexa app was broken. It’s since been fixed. So if you look at the Sonos skill in Alexa is it still showing as linked? If it isn’t then you know what to do. If it is showing as linked a re-authorization may be your only solution. Sometimes things occur in tech that require us to do things that we don’t particularly like…but that’s the nature of tech.

I’m sitting here on a Saturday, after having played my music for a few hours after jerry-rigging a music library on my NAS to work with Sonos (because I still can’t get my iTunes library back onto the app)...only to have the app suddenly no longer find my systems.  It’s been like this for over an hour, and no amount of closing/reopening the app on my Google Pixel phone resolves this.

I can’t even go with my regular line of “this is worse than garbage” because apparently I like to use things that are worse than garbage, and expect them to function as if they are not garbage.  It’s like digging through the dumpster, finding a half-eaten box of KFC that only has a little bit of what could be human waste on it, dropping the box into what is definitely human waste, then picking it up and CHOOSING TO EAT THE HUMAN WASTE COVERED FOOD AND EXPECTING IT TO BE FRESH.

And my SiriusXM stopped working again.  So Sonos has managed to take up an hour of my life trying to get their app to work, then being so angry I signed into my account, found this old thread, and made a dumpster food analogy.  Sonos owes ME money at this point.

Agree.  Terrible no

matter what steps you take to try to remedy.

Well, I see we’ve crossed into the “let’s see how much more disgusting I can make my metaphor than the last poster” phase of the complaints.  Way to go, team!
