I’ve been trying to use the new Sonos app for a couple of months. It’s rubbish!!!!!!!

Can’t play favourite play list’s continuously.

The search function is a joke.

I’ve got 3 Sonos Ones’ time for a change I think - what a load of rubbish, talk about backward step!

The new Sonos App search facility works really well for me. The only issue I see is it can be a little slow in some areas of the music services, but otherwise it’s working fine here, especially since installing the updates.


One search does it all for every music service installed and then it’s just a case of moving through the MSP tabs in the App to see the results - The search facility has greatly improved over the previous App. Or you can just select the MSP service first of all and then search that one music service and see its results.

What’s not to like about that?

Sometimes now, when I search, unless I put the whole artists name in, the search gets nothing. Rubbish, or garbage depending on your area.

The App is being rebuilt from the ground up with features being added/restored. It’s only a little slow in one or two places when browsing through some services, but I suspect that optimisation may come later when all the features have been restored. But I find the search facility really quick and the results I’m seeing are the ones expected. Anyhow it works fine here. I’m more than happy with the new search, it’s one of the best features of the new App IMHO.


Clunky cumbersome rubbish. Keeps dropping connections after not being used for a couple of days, volume has a mind of its own- turn it up it takes ages to respond even bouncing back to its original volume setting. 
 

I’ts the most frustrating piece of rubbish. I’m going back to airplay Apple Music.

I have no problem adjusting room volume, or ‘grouped’ room volume - see attached taken from my iPhone controller (adjusting the volume levels ‘collectively’ of a group of 6 Sonos rooms). It does sound like your issues are ‘perhaps’ more network related, rather than the App itself.

You maybe best to to reproduce the issue, then immediately submit a Sonos system diagnostic report from within the Sonos App, note it’s reference and then contact/chat with Sonos Support via this LINK to discuss the matter in detail and see what the Staff can perhaps then suggest to resolve the matter.

The crazy thing is this new search has been in use for over a year through the old app. You would think it would be the one perfectly working thing about the new app.
