system barely working after upgrading software and exchanging playbar for arc

I bought an Arc to upgrade Playbar alongside a new tv.  In the same period I upgraded the app. The system simply stopped working.  I spent nearly a whole day trying to resolve the problems and following advice, disconnected my whole system and reinstalled the app.  Despite multiple factory resets, I could not set up two Sonos ones in one room.  The app kept recreating new versions of the same room. It would not allow me to set up surround sound.  I struggled to get the Sub to connect.  I tried to contact support by phone, the estimated wait was 115 minutes. I tried the chat bot. It froze on three occasions.  I have invested a small fortune in Sonos products. What can I do??
