Hi,
Here’s my problem, I have a turntable with a sonos era 100 right beside it, let’s call it the office speaker and have 2 more in the living room. The turntable and the office speaker are connected with a bluetooth connection and I would broadcast music in the living room through the app.
Before the new app redesign I would simply connect the turntable and the office speaker, and in the app I would see a bluetooth logo that I could broadcast to the living room. It was simple, fast and most importantly, working.
Tonight I got a new album and wanted to play it everywhere in the appartment, so I did as I always did, connected the turntable to the speaker and dropped the needle. It was working as usual for the office speaker. The issue started when I wanted to broadcast the music to the living room. When I selected all of my speaker (Spotify wasn’t playing at the time) the office speaker’s bluetooth connection stopped and no sound would play anywhere.
No matter how I tried, if I wanted to broadcast the bluetooth connection, the app really wanted me to play music from a streaming service. I didn’t have any issues before the app redesign, but it seems like this feature is now broken. So is there a missing step I now have to do before broadcasting music from a bluetooth source?
Edit: For anyone who had the same issue as me. I Found the issue/solution, there is a hidden menu in the app when swiping up the music player at the bottom showing all the sources. I only found it because I used the web app and saw the menu and wondered if the same menu was there in the app. I don’t think it is a good UI decision, but at least the functionality is there.
