So satellite service provider has forced us to update our receivers, Arris 830s, and we have had various problems one that I find really strange, no sound on the Golf channel.

Every other channel is just fine and the Golf channel was fine on our previous Arris 630 boxes.

Setup is a Sony XBR65X800H, Sonos Beam and 2 Play 1s fed by HDMI and all ethernet connected.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how the solve the problem.

What format audio does the app say the TV is sending it? If it is Dolby 1.0 then it may not work.


TV says output is Dolby Digital Plus.

What does THE APP say it is getting though?


Also what Beam? Only Gen 2 supports DD+.


Switch the box output to PCM resolves the issue. Strange that only one channels is like this.
