I am having a really annoying issue where my Spotify Release Radar playlist is not updating properly on Sonos, but is instead playing last week’s songs. For context, the Release Radar playlist is updated every week by Spotify. I have tried playing it through Spotify directly and choosing Sonos as the speaker, but infuriatingly Sonos changes the queue in Spotify to the old playlist! I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting Spotify to my Sonos account and no luck there either, it reverts back to last week’s playlist. How do I force an update? How can I stop Sonos from rewriting my queued songs on Spotify?

Hi @Halpmeplz, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still getting the old playlist. I’ve had a look into my system and both my Release Radar and Discover Weekly playlists have been updated in the Sonos app (I thought it would be worth checking both playlists as they are both updated weekly).

I haven’t seen any other mention of this, so my suggestion would be to go into the Spotify App → Your Library → Release Radar → Remove from Your Library → Save to Your Library. My playlists are working, but removing them from my Spotify library does take them out of the Sonos app and adding them to the my library brings them back, so I assume that Sonos is holding onto the older version for some reason.

Once you’ve done that, check the Release Radar playlist in the Sonos app to see if it’s changed, or you could try to play through Spotify to see if that plays the correct playlist this time.

I hope this information helps!

I have the same issue.
Month ago Sonos updated the Songs of playlist Release Radar on saturday or sunday.

Since a fiew weeks the playlist seems to be updated on friday, if i tip on a song to play it, the active song will be the song of the last week on this position.
For example i try to play the third song of this week, it will play the third song of the last week. It still change on saturday or sunday.

This delay is verry annoying.
I will try to make some screenshots on friday and maybe a screenvideo.

Hi @Thiemo, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Have you tried the steps I provided above to Halpmeplz? I’ve tried again on my system and the Release Radar playlist on the Sonos App and Spotify App are both the same and play the correct song, so I’m not able to replicate this.

If you’ve tried this and the issue still occurs for you, then a video of the issue would be helpful. You can also reach out to our support team for further assistance and troubleshooting.

I will try it on friday morning. :-)

Goooood morning in the morning 🙂.
I hope my english is understandable and please don’t be irritated that all my aps are in german xD

I checked everything and did a small documentation…
Yesterday evening Release Radar

This morning release Radar

So the list is updated in sonos, but if i try to play the first new song “Chopard by Filow” the system plays “Deutsche Beatles by Mehnersmoos”.
Same with the second and third song.
I did some screen videos but it is only able to place pictures in here.

After the first try i removed the release radar from my spotify libary and added it again.
Closed all apps and restart all apps. Same issue.

Then i tried to play it from spotify directly on the sonos box, worked.
I can skip the songs, too.
But when i now try to play a song of the playlist in sonos app, “es ist ein Fehler aufgetreten” english “an error occured”.
If i try a sonf of any other playlist it play this song.

And now magic happens, if i try again to play a song of release radar in the sonos app, it works.

Best regards :-)
