This only happens with Spotify.  Apple Music or Pandora have no issues.  When I stream the same playlist over phone or computer via Spotify there are no issues.  On the Sonos system at work when I stream Spotify playlist they also skip at work just like with my home Sonos system.  There is something with your Sonos/Spotify integration that is triggering this skipping condition or more susceptible to triggering a skip with Spotify

Strange as it may seem, it could be network-related in both places. Have you submitted a system diagnostic and talked to Sonos Support?
