I have two era 100s setup in stereo mode and when I connect to them via spotify connect by playing the song, it will connect but no audio will play until I skip the song I wanted to play and go to the next one. The only way I can get it to immediately play the current song I want is to skip to the next one and then go back. This is a minor issue but very annoying so would appreciate a solution.

I’d likely submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. That way, the ‘bug’ could be officially recorded, and hard data be associated with it that could be handed off to a coder.
