Hi there, Ive had sonos play 1 for years and Spotify connect have worked fine until some few days ago. I can play other music services but not Spotify. 

It's just loading in Sonos when choosing a song and after some few seconds It jumps to next song in line and does the same.  

In the Spotify app it just trys to connect but with no success. 

I have rebooted the wifi, deleted the apps, cleared cache, have revoked and made new authuratzion for Sonos in Spotify web, Ive had taking the spotify service from Sonos also serveral times.

Ive had also tried to connect through my windows pc and apple mac, but doesnt work either.

I tested everything tonight, all the quick fixes you can think of. It has nothing to do with the network or app versions or anything like that. The issue lies with the Spotify account being used. When I log in with my wife’s Spotify account on my phone, it works fine again.

The strange thing is that my own account works fine at work, but not at home.

I created a new account myself, and that one worked right away.

 

This might be a bit too technical for this forum, but I suspect something is going wrong with the OAuth authentication tokens for certain accounts. I’m not sure if this is on Spotify’s side or Sonos’s side. However, it could very well be that once your authentication token expires, it suddenly starts working again.

 

In any case, if it isn’t working, I’m afraid there’s nothing you can really do other than wait until it suddenly works again.


I also tried revoking app permissions under my account on the website, logging out everywhere, and even resetting my password, but without success.

 

I have time on Thursday to contact Sonos support. I’m hoping they can read their logs on their end, which would be easier than trying to figure things out from the outside of a black box.

Hello there, i’m based in Metepec México and experiencing synchronicity issues between Spotify and Sonos: unable to connect after trying for several times. Also cannot stream from Alexa (set on Sonos Move), Alexa says “this device is not online”
