Spatial Audio not available on Apple Music

Hey guys, 

As you are probably aware, Sonos has recently introduced the spatial audio feature. However, I have noticed that this works when playing music from Apple Music through the Sonos app because when I try to listen to music directly from Apple Music, I just lose this option.

I am curious to know if this is a technical error that needs to be fixed or if this is how the feature is intended to work.

This is how it is supposed to work. Dolby Atmos music from Apple Music is only supported on Sonos directly from the Sonos app or from the Apple Music app on an Apple TV 4K.

This is how it is supposed to work. Dolby Atmos music from Apple Music is only supported on Sonos directly from the Sonos app or from the Apple Music app on an Apple TV 4K.

It is how it works.  Casting via Airplay from the Apple Music app is stereo only.
