Sonos s2 app won't load

The Sonos app just installed an update and now, when I start the app I just get a black screen with the Sonos text. The app never gets beyond that.

My ow is android. 

I installed s1 but it only gives me the option to upgrade to s2.

The desktop app still works but wants to update, which I'm reluctant to do until the mobile app works. 

Anyone have any suggestions

Update: after several re-install and phone reboots, I got s2 to work.
