Hi all,
in light of the app update disaster and similar issues I’ve discovered that my two Sonos One speakers can’t be operated via my controller on my laptop (Win 11), but they work fine via my phone using a rolled-back version of Sonos 2 software.
This is what I get:
However, both are shown as connected on my Virgin Media router dashboard. I haven’t changed the router or the network name. All was working fine until the latest update.
For clarity here’s what I have done:
Turned the router off - three times
Rebooted laptop - three times
Plugged Sonos One to router - twice. Didn’t show.
Uninstalled the S2 controller - twice. Still can’t access the system.
Rebooted my NAS drive with my music library on it - three times
Rolled back to V16 of the S2 app on my phone and got access to my library and alarms.
Ranted and raved about the poor quality of Sonos’s approach to this whole thing - still going.
