The sonos app is not saving my settings when I change bass, EQ etc etc, if I sett bass to +2 it goes back to 0 after i close the app and opens it again. Same with eq settings.. Why is that? Iphone 14 pro max, Sonos Arc

Can confirm that problem with Arc. Also with iPhone 14Pro. If I don’t close the app and only swipe to homescreen, the settings „seems“ to stay after reopening the app.

This app is whacked. Honestly so many bugs. Here’s what it looks like for me. Same issue on all my speakers. I’m on an iPhone 14 Pro

Same is happening to me on ARC. Also can’t adjust distance or levels of surrounds. Was never the case. Now all of a sudden problems.

Hi @Ssimonnes & @Gravity_Turn

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear of the issues you’ve both had with settings in the app not saving their status. I’d like to look into this for you - could you please recreate the issue and submit a support diagnostic soon afterwards? Please let me know here when you have done so, but please don’t post the given numbers. Thanks.

Hi @Jr306

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Please note that if you have completed TruePlay Tuning, it is expected that the surround’s distance setting be unavailable.

If you are having similar issues with other settings, however, please follow the above instructions too. Thanks.

Same here , I am unable to save the EQ and Sub settings , the app resets the settings  next time I log on. Sound quality has gone down and the true tune settings are not saving too. This is a very unstable app.

I just now (9/25/24) updated the Sonos app & it fixed this issue.

Same issue, apps up to date, SUB Audio settings do not save, even turning it off, it stays on.

Same here. App and Firmware up to date.

Happened on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and this week, on my iPhone 16 Pro Max too.

Reinstalled the App. Power cycled the Arc and the Sub.

Nothing works!!

Have you called Sonos Support directly to discuss it?

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I have the same issue. But I can change and save settings from my iPad Sonos app. WTF Sonos?

Same issue - updated app and iPhone software … change sub settings and just goes back to zero … is there a fix for this pls Sonos ?

Hi @Ssimonnes et al

We have identified an issue whereby some settings are saved, but not correctly recalled, by the Sonos app. We are investigating but have no estimate for when a fix might be put in place.

Please also note that this issue was confirmed some time ago - apologies for not updating this thread sooner.

I hope this helps.

Why not rollback the app to the previous version? What critical feature are we now enjoying from this dumpster fire of an update that makes bringing back the previous working version of the Sonos app impossible?

Hi @Jabowle

It’s largely due to firmware updates on the speakers - once they expect a newer version than the app you have, there isn’t much getting around that.

Thanks for the quick response. I will continue to wait for an app update.
