Sadly not. Those of us using Android had the luxury of being able to “roll back” to a version of the app prior to the May “update”, while IOS users do not. But generally the issues with the app “update” are pretty much as bad for both platforms.
I don’t know what “returns” period the shop offers, but buy direct from Sonos for a 30-day no quibble period. If you have issues with the app, return the products.
That said, the app does seem to be getting better with still more improvements still to come.

This is good advice. Buy it and see how you get on. Having said that, if I was now starting out on the smart speaker journey, and I knew what I know now, then Sonos wouldn't get a look in. Even if everything we had before comes back again my trust and confidence has gone. Have already started the divorce proceedings.
I too would look at alternatives to Sonos simply because there are too many unknowns about how the system will behave in the future (what you buy now may not work as you expected later down the line) there are many loyal customers on this forum who have been let down by an absolutely abysmal app. The app is still not functioning as it should and updates are few and far between. Sonos appear to have abandoned it’s once loyal customer base in search of future sales.
If you buy them, buy locally from a shop that accepts returns. No need to order and wait and send them back and wait for a refund.
If you have a simple network you’ll have better luck. If you have your own music folder in a NAS you’ll have better luck. The poor app UI will eventually be fixed.
