Hi, if I’m not wrong, it was once possible to search a connected local music library using the Sonos 1 controller. Currently, search functionality works only for connected services like Spotify. This is a real bummer of a limitation. Is there any way to revert back to the more comprehensive search index?

I read something on the Web saying it was possible to choose between “classic” and “new” search, but that ship seems to have sailed.

Is there any way to go back to classic search, assuming that’s the way to search a local music library?

 

It is still possible to search local libraries in S1. I am doing it regularly. If search cannot find anything in the local libraries then it doesn't even show the music library heading.

Can you browse the local library?

“Classic” and “new” is an S2 feature only

 

Thanks. I tried again this morning, and it’s working fine. I don’t know why it wasn’t surfacing anything yesterday. Maybe my NAS wasn’t communicating with the app for some reason.
