My previous post “Play & shuffle from folder view of local library still missing from July 22 app update” has been closed to further comments, so I’m continuing here.

As the topic says, the ability to play or shuffle from the folder view of the local library is still missing from today’s iOS version, 80.11.38. I haven’t tried the Android update - my phone is still running the 16.1 app from before this mess started.

I’ve seen posts from others who used to rely on this missing feature, and it is the main way we’ve always used our library. I’m thankful that it’s still available in the S1 app, which is looking like our long-term solution.

I’ll add that the two Era 100’s that constitute my up-to-date S2 system are already on firmware 81.1-58074.

Our two Beams with supporting surrounds and subwoofers are still running the 16.1.1 firmware on the 16.1 app - but the latest S2 app really does seem stable enough to allow them to finally update. Finally.

Our elderly Play:1s have been restored to our whole-house music solution running on the S1 software. Well, I should say “almost whole-house” since we can no longer include the family room due to that Beam being a Gen 2 model.

Today’s minor update to 80.11.39 with firmware 81.1-58210 does not restore this capability.

There was no pleasant surprise with the 80.11.51 update for iOS yesterday. This capability is still missing.

Still missing from the 80.12.02 version for iOS.

I agree,  “Repeat” and “Shuffle” are missing from the mobile App with local library.

What’s up SONOS. . .  ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS?

There was an apparently unannounced update for the iOS app to version 80.12.03 two days ago, but it’s also unchanged in this regard. The update notes on the app store are just copied from the 80.12.02 version. So .03 is maybe a quick fix for some goof missed in the .02 testing.

The play and shuffle buttons are still missing in iOS update 80.14.07 plus firmware 16.5 (build 82.2-59204).
