Hi,

I am still using S1 software and a sonos bridge as I have first gen play 5 speakers. Do I have a chance to be able to integrate my hue Philips system for lights entertainement while playing music on sonos? Or is the S2 compulsary?

Do I just need a Philips smart hub for that?

Kr

For the Hue Music Sync the work is done by syncing with the Music App (Spotify for example), or using a PC and yes you do need a Hue Bridge.  It is irrelevant what Sonos (S1 or S2) system you are on, so it works on ALL Sonos speakers/rooms.

Philips have a Q&A page

Thx a lot, its great news if I can still stay on S1. I have a hue bridge already where all lights are connected to it. However, I dont have spotify currently and does not use my PC, is there an alternative way of connecting sonos to hue ?

Keep an eye on your Bridge, the power supply on them can act up, causing very hard to identify problems.

You may be able to switch your Sonos to WiFi or wire one of your Play 5s.

Ok, so I installed spotify and that worked.

Thx
