New app basically just doesn’t work.

most common error. Something happened. please try again.

Displayed. queen. was listening to “ one night in bangkok.

soon about to selling all my Sonos

That’s normally due to a network error rather than the app.  Big caveat, if you want help, then please look at my article:

If you just want to join the rest and blame the new App, then please ignore my advice. 😁

I will look into that. 👍

Did not have the same amount of trouble before updating.

especially not in the old times when using the bridge it was just more stable working on it’s own network.

Updates often uncover network problems because each Sonos devices reboots and requests a new IP address.  So if your router is wonky or is not running smoothly, your network can become corrupted by things like duplicate IP addresses.  Sonos is particularly sensitive to things like this, because all Sonos devices need to interact with each other hundreds of times a second.

No Duplicate IPs

No Duplicate IPs

There is no way you can tell if you have duplicate IPs, that’s the problem with duplicate IPs, the router doesn’t know what IP’s were previously assigned where.  The only way to prevent them is to reserve IP addresses for each Sonos device in your router.  Have you done that?

each sonos device has its unique and dedicated IP.

confirmed in Router GUI and Sonos App. System info.

No IP Conflict in Router. with other devices.

Well then, I guess it’s time to sell your Sonos.

or some one at Sonos begins to look into reliability of the App instead of new features.

The typical mistake when successful. Hunting New features ( hope to gain more sales) and forgetting about having a reliable product. (Not reliable =  bad reviews = loss of sales )

At least the ARC is not all App dependent 😜

You still can't tell in another device on your network has a duplicate IP address to one of your Sonos devices. Your choice but I'd recommend that you follow the steps in my post

I have a pretty good overview of what devices is connected to my network., no conflicts.

and after a few seconds of searching on the internet. It is clear that it’s a common issue with the new Release. Even Official Sonos vendors is aware. and apologize on behalf of Sonos.

Okay, I'll stop trying to help then. 🤦‍♂️

UKMedia : I have been thru your “recipe “

and even created fixed IP for the Sonos devices and other key devices, power cycle the components in sequence you suggested.

My network only has14 devices and all of them are encountered for.
