There are two copies of an album in the Sonos music library, but only one in the actual music folder. I have cleared the recycle bin. I have reindexed the Sonos library several times.

Hi @Pellucid

Thanks for your post! And, apologies for the delay.

Even outside of Sonos, I have seen this happen with my own library - usually after I have been “tidying” the metadata for my music library. So, the first possibility that comes to mind is that perhaps there are two entries for this one album, but that tracks are split between them? If this is the case, I would start looking for extra spaces in the Artist field of the metadata of your songs. You could perhaps do this with just Windows/macOS, but I personally (so this is not a recommendation from Sonos) use MediaMonkey to alter metadata in batches - you would be able to alter the Artist field for all tracks in an album in one step.

However, please be aware that we are currently tracking an issue whereby if a Album has multiple contributing artists, then a separate entry will be shown for each. If you see two copies of the album, but both are empty of tracks, then I think this is affecting your system. There is more info on the thread linked below, but we are aware of the issue and are investigating. We have no ETA for when a fix might be put in place.

I hope this helps.
