Did the work around by sharing folders work for anyone? I got Sonos to add one shared folder but then it wouldn't index the music in the folder. Still no access to mudic from my PC or external drives.

Welcome to the Sonos Community, and apologies for the delay!

Sorry to hear of the issues you are having with playing or indexing your music folder. It absolutely should work - please see this thread for a guide:

If you are still unable to get it working, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports - they’ll be able to remotely connect to your computer and do it for you.
