Wearily opened my desk-based Sonos on Friday 14th JUne to find an update waiting. Feature 1 - compulsory to approve new set of T&C, which now include a load of new references to Sonos being able to switch what they like with any impact whatsoever on my existing system and I have no redress (sure, but I still have ordinary consumer rights, doh); new Feature 2 - nothing, as far as I can see. Still no search on local library, still unable to add new music to the library without an Error 913, still a load of bugs in the mobile controller (can’t switch between rooms, no current song title showing, random availability of volume control, library appears and reappears etc etc).

Example - I tried to add a CD in itunes and then update the library. No new album/composer/artists appear, but the songs are there if you look for them (ny hand, no search of course). Half a dozen tries at this before making a new Itunes playlist from the CD, updating again (ten minutes) and voila, the playlist appears. But still unsearchable. Still no evidence that the album is there in the library, even after I added a new folder and a new share.

Support staff have been promising searches ‘mid-June’, but they must be on another calendar with 32 days in June. This is getting very tedious.
