My one saving grace in all this was that at least I could still index from the desktop app (as the subject).


Now I’m getting the error message that says the path has changed or the device is no longer powered up, neither of which is true.

 

I realize this is not uncommon in the last few months, but I’m not as savvy as I would like to be. Everything is updated, heaven help me.

 

File sharing, and so forth is still on. No permissions have suddenly changed.

I’m reluctant to do anything too big before consulting people who know more than I do. Right now, not being able to index. My most recently added files isn’t the worst thing that could be happening, as we know from the last three months. I don’t wanna reduce the functionality I have by acting rashly.
 

But my collection is on going so I would like it to be updated as often possible. I would appreciate any suggestions for how I might get myself back on track here. Thanks in advance.
