Not only have I lost access to my Music Library through the Sonos app on my iPhone, but there are only 3 options available on the home page - Recently Played, Your Services and Sonos Favourites, so I can’t seem to add it.

I can however still access, and play on my Sonos speakers, items from my Music Library via the Sonos controller on my laptop so I guess I should be thankful for small mercies - far from ideal though, so can anyone help?

Will they ever fix this???

It’s not broken for most users.  The vast majority seeing this problem are using an SMB v1 share, which Sonos no longer supports due to (dubious) security issues.  There are also some Macs reporting a problem despite not using SMB v1.  See the following for solutions:

I am all Windows 11, so no, that is not the issue.

And they haven’t supported SMB V1 since way before this update.

I’m sorry, but you are 100% incorrect on this.  Not only did they still support SMB v1 in S2 up until the May 7th release, they still support SMB v1 in S1 today.  Just because the started supporting SMB v2/v3 doesn’t mean they stopped supporting v1 (and they didn’t).

Are you under the impression that using Windows 11 automatically means you aren’t using SMB v1?  If so, that makes you zero for two in this thread.

I’ve downgraded the app, all is well for now. Maybe it’s time to sell off my Sonos and move on. Denon HEOS is looking pretty good...

Or you could start posting the truth and actually try to fix your system.

Not sure the ‘not broken for most users’ stands up to scrutiny.

Let’s have some figures on that.

There have been less than 1000 (actually, far less, but lets overestimate the number) new registrations here since the new app was released (there’s a user here who keeps track of them).  Of those, let’s call it 600 (another overestimate) are missing access to the local library.  So let’s give another overestimate, and say 1000 times that are missing the function, but don’t bother coming here.  That’s 60,000, at an absurd level of overestimation compounded 3 times.  That 60,000 is a fraction of the millions of Sonos installs and/or users.

I started one of those threads.  The update broke mine on Windows 11 and I was not using SMB v1.  I double-checked that while I was trying to figure it out.  The updated Sonos desktop controller just dropped my music folder and wouldn’t allow re-adding it for some unknown reason.  But pointing it to the folder as a shared network drive fixed it.  For me anyway.
