Hi,

this is maybe a little bit strange, but I will explaine the situation:

there are serveral SONOS speakers in a bar/pub/restaurant.

In germany, you are not allowed to play the music as loud as you want and can… so I recognized the “limit volume” funktion at the system control.

This is a great function to limit the max volume in a bar/pub/…   BUT:

Everyone can change this limit.

However, in order to comply with official regulations, this function would have to be blocked so that only a technician or the owner can change the settings. A waiter, for example, would not be able to do this.
The function could possibly be restricted to a confirmation email and a link that the account holder has to click on, just like resetting a password.
So: if the setting is changed, an email is sent, if it is confirmed, the change becomes active, if not, it is reset.

You can block it.  If you reset the controller and restart it without signing in with the account and password, most of the setup menu will be blocked, including the volume limit.  Anybody who should not be making these types of changes should not be signed in on the app.

Yes, thank you. I found that just 2 Minutes ago.

So this feature request could be closed.

You said “everyone” could change the volume limit, but is is only people with access to the phone or tablet the system is commanded from that can change the limit - and then only if the phone or tablet app is signed in. So definitely not “everyone”, just employees, I would say.

I believe Sonos Pro is only available in the US. The OP is in Germany.
