Why do I get multiple entries for compilation albums in my local library and each entry plays the complete compilation album, I appear to have a separate entry in Album view for each artist within a compilation which is sometimes over a hundred entries for the same album. This is both with the windows app (Win 11) and android app. With well over 700 albums and lots of them listed multiple times it makes the selection very UN-user friendly

It’s a firmware bug. Hopefully fixed sooner rather than later.

Come on man sooner is like 12 months. Later is 12+. 
I know it’s been like it for a while but i’ve been living with it as I expected it to be fixed sooner than this, to be honest it’s a poor show for a company who are supposed to be with the leading brands and can’t get / be bothered to sort this or even give us a time frame for its fix

Today Firmware 16.4.2 was released and the album compilation bug has been fixed.

And why cant I add a whole folder to the queue in folder view? Microsoft can do it. Been doing it for 28 years…..
Sorry, seems the fw update did resolve the issue for many users but sadly not for all. One thing you can check too, is id3 tag for album artist. It has to be the same for all tracks of a compilation.
