It seems pretty odd, but only one radio station (WFMT) will not stream as of yesterday(09/14/24). Neither Tune-in or Sonos Radio will stream the station. Has anyone seen a single radio station drop out?  Any fixes?

If it’s just one station, that suggests a problem at the station’s origination, I.e. something wrong with their stream, and not a Sonos problem. I’d do the normal things from your side, including a network refresh to catch any potential DNS issues, but much more likely, I’d be contacting that station itself to tell them their stream isn’t reaching the users. They’re much more likely to be able to resolve the issue.

I have the same problem.  It streams fine through the TuneIn app and through the WFMT web site, just not through Sonos.

Not really sure what ‘through Sonos’ means in this context. There is a TuneIn plugin for Sonos, is it not streaming through that?

If it is streaming through the TuneIn app itself, but not through the Sonos TuneIn connection, I would certainly recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of recreating this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Works here in Tennessee.  I’m originally from Chi town.  One of my fav stations.

I called Sonos Support as suggested.  It turns out I just needed to reauthorize the TuneIn service through the Sonos App.  With that done, WFMT now plays again on my Sonos devices.

I even tried reauthorizing, but that didn’t help.

@WFMTUser Did you try Sonos Radio?

Yes. That fix worked a few days ago but now has stopped. It appears that Sonos Radio gets WFMT through TuneIn, so I guess I’m not surprised. Both sources have the same issue. You press play, and for a second it appears to start and the play icon switches to a stop box. But a moment later the stop box flips back to a play icon and there is never sound. Have reauthorized both TuneIn and Sonos Radio, fully erased TuneIn and reinstalled, and for good measure unplugged and restarted everything. All more than once. WFMT continues to work on their website as well as on the separate TuneIn ap.

I can’t imagine I’m the only one. Called Sonos support. They have supposedly escalated the issue to their technical team and I am to get an email at some point with advice or resolution. Hopefully it’s a fix for everyone.

I just noticed the same thing with WFMT not playing over TuneIn/Sonos. Not sure what anyone is talking about with ‘Reauthorizing,’  as Sonos has no TuneIn option except <anonymous> ...or has that recently changed; i.e., the ability to log in to Sonos via a paid tuneIn account?

Are you using S1? TuneIn (Classic) is only available on S1 these days, and also some streams can’t play on S1 because they use unsupported SSL root certificates.
