Is there debug for a windows file share media library failure?

Question as subject line.  I have a Windows 11 desktop in the basement that acts as a fileshare for my mp3s.  I believe things are working because other devices in the house (including a Macbook Pro) can see the share and play the songs.

But Sonos cannot.  I get the standard error message we’ve all seen, but I don’t know what my next steps are here. How can I find out what’s failing so I can fix it?

(Sonos S1 controller, if that helps)

Then the FAQ and searching on Music Library or looking for similar issues here in the forum are your best bet.

Personally I gave up on streaming from a computer and use a NAS which is far easier for me.

Do you have the Sonos App loaded on it?

Submit a diagnostic and call Sonos support, they can see things that we users can’t.

I do. I was just wondering if I could resolve this without having to bother them. Thanks!
