I can no longer play audio from Amazon Music Unlimited on my system: the songs start fine, but then cut out after a few seconds. I get an error about my network bandwidth being insufficient to maintain the playback buffer--which is utter nonsense: I can stream 4K movies. Also, I can play Amazon Music on my laptop via wifi just fine.

I suspect the issue is that Amazon Music now has UHD/hi-res music and my Sonos system is old (3 Play:5, 4 Play:1, Playbar and Sub (Gen 1)). None of my components are listed in the blog article bragging about support for high-res audio.

Does this mean that I now own an entire house full of audio equipment that won’t stream from my subscription music source? Or is there a way to listen to Amazon Music in lower quality on Sonos? (I tried removing Amazon Music from my Sonos App (version 1) and re-adding it, to no avail.)

Alternatively, if I dump my Play:5 speakers, upgrade to Sonos App 2, and purchase a couple of Sonos components that are listed in the blog article as being compatible with Amazon hi-res music, will I be able to play Amazon music on those speakers while retaining my current TV sound system? Or do I have to upgrade/replace the entire system at this point?

Thank you for any insight.
