Hello. Since 10 days all my Sonos speakers can’t play Spotify and stream Spotify via Airplay. I have been in contact with Sonos support 5 times and yesterday they said that there has been a lot of users with the same problem. I have also been in contact with Spotify and they were not aware of the issue? I have updated all devises, re-installed Spotify and Sonos and done everything the supports have asked me to do. The only thing which is working is Sonos Radio and other music services but not Spotify.

I told Sonos support to put this as an issue so other users could be aware of this enoying issue. But not seen anything posted. I guess they prefer of spending hours of support of people like me contacting them instead...

We are investigating the above issue for customers based in Sweden and are in direct contact with Spotify, working on a fix. I do not have an ETA yet, but will update this thread when I get an update for you.

Please make it work! If it's only a problem in Sweden - Then there should be a clear fix for the problem. When paying a lot for a system for using this feature, but it doesnt work.... Don't know what to say, but there should be a compensation for a issue like this.


Having the same problem in USA.  After latest iPhone update last week, Airplay from any app does not work on any of my Sonos speakers.  I have downloaded all updates, reset router and all speakers, etc.  Nothing is working via Airplay.  


I can’t play Spotify from my iPhone on my Sonos-speaker. It was never a problem before, but a few weeks ago it just stopped working. So frustrating! I have done all the things you recommend and nothing helps! What is the issue?!?! I live in Sweden. What is happening? 


I’m in the USA, but not a Spotify user. While it’s been at least 5 years now, when I had issues with using AirPlay 2, a reboot of my Apple device, be it my Mac, my iPhone, or my iPad resolved the issue of not being able to connect to my speakers. 


I have the same problem - I’m in the USA, and I’ve tried updating and restarting everything with no improvement. Eventually, AirPlay will usually start up, but only after I switch back and forth from my iPhone to the speaker a number of times, and even then I have to wait for a couple of minutes before it starts playing on the speaker. I suspect it may be an app issue - when I’ve started AirPlay, and my podcast app shows the podcast playing but nothing’s coming out of the speaker, I can open the Sonos app and see the little EQ-looking animation that indicates something is playing on the speaker, but also a “No Content” listing for the speaker. Extremely frustrating, and it occurs with all of my many speakers…


Same problem as all of the others. Surprised Sonos has figured this out yet.

Same problem for me. Can’t get it to work. Apple Music and Sonos radio works. 


Same problem here in Sweden at our country cottage. But it works with same devices (iPhone and iPads) and apps with our other Sonos speakers in our home in the city. So something with these speakers and or network here is the problem.

Airplay not working via Apple Music. Again. 

Had same problem week ago and support asked me to restart router etc. Fixed problem.


Same issue here in France … Spotify can not connect to Sonos, from iPhone or Mac …. 


Same here in France since a few days


AirPlay has been pure crap for at least a month or two. So frustrating. The only solution is to restart the device… this is not a solution. You control the entire stack how is this such a difficult problem?


WORST PART I have to go into an equipment rack behind a tv to do this because in 2024 Sonos App still is not able to restart a product remotely!! JFC. But hey! They shipped headphones.

 

I am in the USA using Overcast and Apple Music… this is not a Sweden problem or a Spotify problem.
