Until Sonos upgrade their software to make the system usable, I am using Apple Airplay 2 to stream music from my iTunes library to a Sonos Port using my iPad as a controller. The Sonos Port is just an end point which is able stream from other platforms like Roon. The iPad controller interface with Airplay 2 is better than Sonos 2 V1. For playing on my main system or headphones, for the time being is a workable solution for me.

Reflexively, I use the Sonos app to begin playing music…until the dropouts happen, frustration sets, and I scream to myself “damnit, not again!” I then am forced to shut down the Sonos app and start over inside of Apple Music. When will “it just works” be applied to the Sonos app again? I want the simplicity back.
