Hello @maebee, welcome to the Sonos Community.

I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble connecting to your Sonos Amp.

I have reconfigured and added this amp to network a dozen times.

It is unclear what you mean with the above. Do you have any other Sonos products that are currently connected and show in the Sonos App?

We would require a bit more information in order to help you efficiently. What is the current LED status of your Sonos Amp?

Is it possible to temporarily wire the Sonos Amp directly to your router with an Ethernet cable? That should bring the Sonos Amp online and show in the Sonos App.

Have a look on the following Support Article Connect Sonos to a new router or WiFi network that has some helpful information.

If you manage to get the Sonos Amp to show in the Sonos App, then it should also receive your Wi-Fi details and connect wirelessly.

If it doesn’t then please Submit Diagnostics while the Sonos Amp show in the Sonos App and contact our Support team for some live troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.

I'm going to have to give up on Sonos after getting  a new router and nothing works anymore. The hardware must still work but the Sonos app is worse than useless. I’ve lost most of today trying to get something to work. The app has just got worse and worse and now does nothing other than tell you something isn’t working and circle you around that. The function of the app appears to be turning the hardware into useless pieces of junk. I go to a cafe ask for wifi and can log on yet my Sonos system thinks this is rocket science. Anyone got recommendations for alternative brands?

The easiest path is to give the new router the same WiFi name and password that was used by the old router.

You should also reboot everything on the network after replacing a router.

does the app work for anyone? or is sonos just giving up?

The app works fine for me. I have not had any connection issues. The inconveniences of missing features are slowly being added back, and while it does present a little learning curve, I like the new app.

I literally logged into the community for the first time moments ago to express almost this exact same sentiment. It is unfathomable to me that a service that used to be a top three things IN MY LIFE candidate is now so insufferably glitchy, and that Sonos has been unable, after MONTHS, to materially address the issues with the terrible new app. Every time I use my Sonos system now is an exercise in frustrated and ultimately unsuccessful problem solving. I feel like every single customer should be given the option to sell back our now useless hardware.
