desktop not responding

When trying to add music folder to SONOS desktop app I receive the following message-

The computer “DESKTOP - (COMPUTER NUMBER)” is not responding.

I previously had the folder loaded but the desktop app displayed a similar message when I tried to play music. I can play music through sonos from the amazon music app on my mobile without any problems

I’ve looked at various solutions but I am unable to resolve this.

I am running a PC with Windows 10, I have Bitdefender security operating. The Bitdefender firewall protection rules allow sonos.exe & sonoslibraryservice.exe.

What happens when you disable Bitdefender?

Have you called Sonos Support directly to discuss it?

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Thanks for the advice. I foolishly hadn’t considered ringing the help line. i will do so.
