I have switched network provider and have a new wifi that I need to move my system (Playbase, One SL x 2, Roam) across.

The instructions originally told me to follow the app’s guidance to ‘Update Network’, except this was not offered as an option in the new app.

I now see the support page (here) has been updated to say that my products are not supported and they require a FACTORY RESET.

I cannot believe that this is the solution. Of course, there is the suggestion to wire it, but my router is not easily accessible and I have a Playbase!

Any suggestions??

Did you try using the same old SSID and password in the new router? (if you don’t absolutely want to rename the SSID and can change the router’s settings)

Hi @kpr ‘s suggestion is a good one, and I have found it to be the simplest way of switching provider, and not just for Sonos.

You may have another option, as set out in the article you linked:

Switch to a wired setup

When wired to a router, some Sonos products can broadcast their own dedicated wireless network that other Sonos products can use.

If you have Sonos products that support this, you can temporarily use your Sonos system in a wired setup as a workaround. You can find instructions on how to switch to a wired setup, as well as a list of products that don’t support this type of setup, in this article.

Note that the switch to a wired setup only requires one device to be wired, and that only temporarily.  You should try to avoid factory resetting all your devices, as this loses Sonos playlists, links to services etc.

If the Ones are being used as surrounds, it would be best (possibly essential??) to wire the Playbase.

Thanks all, I will give both a try and keep you posted.

I had the same problem, but upon calling my networks helpline, I happen to speak to an individual that said he could connect my speaker from his end and it was different than me connecting it so I said what the heck and behold it worked I don’t need an ethernet. It has been working perfectly. Sonos told me the network would not work with my speaker. At least the router wouldn’tbut it is
