Spotify is my most used music service and I’ve been having no issues using it both with and without my Sonos speakers. Are you getting any errors in the Sonos app when trying to play Spotify? If you try another music service, such as radio, is that also unable to play?

For a first step, I’d recommend reauthorizing Spotify by opening the Sonos app and heading to Account → Content Services → Spotify → Primary Account → Reauthorize Account.

Just to be sure, you have Spotify listed as a music service in the Sonos app but when you attempt playback, it doesn’t work? As a test, if you use Spotify Direct Control from the Spotify app to cast to your Sonos speakers, does that allow you to play without issue?

If you can’t use Direct Control, then please make sure the Sonos app and your Sonos speakers are up to date. You can get the latest version of the app from the app store and you can update your speakers in the Sonos app under Settings → Manage → System Updates → Check for Updates. Please also make sure your phone is running the latest firmware too.

I’d assume the TV isn’t streaming Spotify to Sonos but instead passing it to the soundbar. It seems like streaming is the issue here, so I’d also recommend trying a different controller if you have one, for example: another phone, a tablet, or a computer.
