I’ve noticed recently with the new app update that I can no longer see the artist that is currently playing, this is true when I search for an artist or a song through Apple Music or other other streaming as well as when I’m just playing the radio.  I used to be able to see what song is currently playing.
here is an example, I’m listening on my Roam (only) and put in an artist in Apple Music, playing that artist’s music but it still shows a song I selected from my own downloaded music from earlier today.  I can use the volume and off buttons here but not forward.  Also when I go into Apple Music it doesn’t show me what is playing.  Ugh!

Hi @Meache

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay.

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with the app showing out-dated track info.

This sounds like the app is having trouble maintaining clear communications with the speaker.

Whether you do this one at a time or all together is up to you, but I recommend a reboot of your speaker, your router and of your phone/tablet. When rebooting your router, please turn it off for at least 30 seconds.

Reboot Sonos products

Sonos Roam, Roam SL, and Roam 2

Standard Reboot

  1. Disconnect Roam from charging cables and remove it from wireless chargers.
  2. Hold the power button on the back of your Roam product for at least five seconds until you hear the power-off tone and the light above the Sonos logo turns off.
  3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Press the power button on the back of Roam to turn it back on.

If the reboots do not help, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.
