Is there a way to speed up playback speed of Audible through my Sonos system? I have tried if both from the Sonos App and the Audible app casting via AirPlay 2 - neither works. When I do it in the Audible app, it shows higher speeds, but is just playing at 1x. This makes it UNUSABLE for me on any of my 20+ Sonos devices - high multiple thousands of dollars of equipment just useless.
please let me know how to solve, or if not this should be a high priority feature - it’s just shocking to me that I can’t do it, the first true disappointment I’ve had from Sonos.

It looks like Audible ‘by design’ do not make the adjustable narration speed available when playing to Sonos products. See their help page here…

I suspect Sonos doesn’t offer a speed adjustment through their API that any podcast streamer could use, although I seem to recall it has been requested before. At this point, I would guess there are other things on the list that would take more priority.
Oh, one more comment…it should work without issue using AirPlay 2. At that point, you’re not using the Sonos firmware, it is just a receiver of the signal. If the software you’re using on your Apple device can send it at a different speed, then the Sonos should play it at any speed it receives it at.

No it doesn’t work via the Audible App - it’s disabled when Airplaying too. I checked. Not sure why, but seems like an Audible restriction.
Must be, Sonos isn’t involved there, except as a receiver of a signal. Most interesting, as that suggests that you can’t speed up any AirPlay 2 signal, as it isn’t a Sonos restriction. Thanks for testing.
