I have a pair of Play 1s in the office and Apple Music plays fine through those either direct or via Alexa. But I have the same set up in the kitchen and Apple Music only plays through one speaker. I can see no difference in the Sonos app, but Alexa sees Office and Office Sonos, whereas it only sees Kitchen, no Kitchen Sonos. Alexa has created Office Sonos. Any idea what’s going on?

Are you devices grouped or setup as a stereo pair?

A stereo pair in Sonos. Nothing to group in Alexa, just the one speaker seen.

Are you sure that all four devices are Play 1’s and not Sonos One’s in the Office?

Yes!

The reason I ask is that Alexa will see a physical device and the Alexa component of a Sonos One as two separate Alexa devices but a Play: 1 will just be seen as a hardware device only, as it doesn’t have an voice control capability.

Hi @Brixton Nick

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with your speakers not playing as a pair. I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.
